Core functions
The functions of RAB are as follows:
- To hear and determine Appeals arising from the decisions of the Commissioner for Refugee Affairs;
- To issue and verify appeal forms to manage appeal processes;
- To initiate, develop and implement in collaboration with other stakeholders refugee law and policy development;
- To sensitize stakeholders on the existence of RAB and its operations;
- To conduct research and investigation into specific matters of appeal;
- To collaborate with Regional and International community in seeking solution to emerging issues on refugee matters.
